Koffi Olomide & Bev Sibanda Rekindle Romance

Koffi Olomide, Bev Sibanda rekindle romance. The Sexy Angels boss, whose ‘chemistry’ with the visiting Congolese rhumba supremo started in in 2015, says she enjoys the revered entertainer’s company.

Dancer Beverly “Bev” Sibanda says her musical romance with Kiffie Olamideis growing stronger with each passing day. Bev, 28, opened up on her affection to the singer after posting their pictures together on social media, sparking debate that there was more to the photographs.

She however cleared the air to H-Metro Entertainment & Lifestyle yesterday that she and Koffi were close buddies whose relationship borders on music business.

“I was shocked and surprised by people who think I have known Koffi this week after his invitation to the capital for a musical project with Rockford Josphats by Prophet Passion Java. “I first met Koffi in person in 2015, we did a video together which he posted on his social media pages.

“From that experience that saw me starring in the video, we have been in touch and exchanging notes regarding our respective careers,” she said. Asked how frequent she talks to Koffi over the phone, she said: “Sometimes we can talk to each other every day or once every week depending on his schedule and mine as well.

“We only talk about music and how best I can improve myself as an artiste and entrepreneur which has helped me a lot to be where I am today.

“So when people started circulating my pictures on social media with Koffi, I almost laughed because he is someone I chat to regularly.”

Besides her bold assertions that they are close pals, Bev explained why she didn’t welcome Koffi at the Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport. “I already knew that he was coming to Zimbabwe before some of the people who only saw it on social media on Wednesday.

“I didn’t want to appear semunhu anoda zvinhu sitereki but I am now a mature person who would not be found gatecrashing events. “I am now a professional person who wait to be invited where I am needed to protect the image of my brand.

“I was finally invited to his apartment where we spoke at length about our forth-coming video together, which I am looking forward to it,” she added.

Bev, who started off as a club dancer and evolved to become a video vixen and now an entrepreneur, says she has learnt a lot from her past mistakes. She says she now wants to be more professional and lead by example to fellow dancers, children and family.
