Mnangagwa Obvuma Pachena Kuti Zvipatara Zvemunyika ZvapararaSpeaking during his opening remarks at ZANU PF’s 384th Ordinary Session of the Politburo in Harare on Wednesday, Mnangagwa said he was personally disturbed by what he witnessed during a recent tour of Harare’s major public hospitals. “Recently, I had the chance to tour the main public health facilities here in Harare. It was disheartening that the situation was allowed to deteriorate,” he said. While calling for urgent corrective measures, the President fell short of taking direct responsibility for the crisis that has unfolded under his administration. Instead, he challenged all stakeholders — including government departments, the private sector, and ordi
A SENIOR Lupane police OFFICER (39) is facing serious rape and indecent assault charges after allegedly preying on a 16-year-old schoolgirl. Adding to the shock, the victim is reportedly the daughter of a fellow officer, who is his subordinate and lives in the same police camp. Disturbingly, this wasn’t the first alleged encounter. Earlier, while the minor was fetching water, the officer is accused of pushing her against a vehicle, touching her inappropriately, and attempting to kiss her. She managed to escape that time but, like the later incident, did not immediately report it. The brave teenager finally broke her silence on 19 June 2025, disclosing the horrific allegations.

Mukungurutse CHITUNGWIZA residents have expressed growing frustration over the local authority’s continued failure to provide a lasting solution to the town’s persistent sewage challenges, which they say are threatening their health and general well-being. A strong stench from raw sewage is what greets visitors and residents alike in most parts of the dormitory town, where overflowing effluent has become a daily reality. Concerned residents are now appealing to central government and other responsible authorities to urgently intervene. “We are living in constant fear of a cholera outbreak because raw sewage continuously flows, we are now tired of living in this situation,” one resident said.

FROM INBOX | A parent with two children who are boarders at F.D. Roosevelt Girls High School in Harare sent me these photos. Her complains are as follows: 1. We had an AGM end of March 2025 where a total top-up for term was agreed upon (US$97) subject to approval by the Ministry of education. Surprising the above photo send to us include term 1 which we never agreed upon. How do we pay top-up for term that was over by the time we had the AGM? 2. There is also a special levy of US$50 for a hostel which was gutted by fire in 2021, which was approved by Ministry for term 2. However, as I was going over my fees payment receipts I realised that I have been paying the special levy for a long time: I paid US$40 Special levy which w
