HARARE — Harare lawyer Concellia Maheya has been convicted of theft of trust property and remanded in custody pending her pre-sentencing hearing, following a fraudulent US$30,000 real estate transaction. Maheya, formerly employed by Maseko Law Chambers, was found guilty on Friday by Harare magistrate Lisa Mutendereki following a full trial. Prosecutors proved that she accepted US$30,000 in trust from a buyer using forged title deeds, despite the property having been sold to a different party three years earlier. I need your help in exposing Great Zimbabwe University. I was given a part-time contract in July 2025. There are about 4–5 part-time lecturers in our department. We receive 6-month contracts, which are renewed twice a year. I still have my contract from last year if verification is needed. However, we have not been paid for the entire semester. A 36-year-old Harare man appeared in court this Thursday facing r..ape and mu...rder charges after allegedly raaping his five-year-old daughter before suffocating her to de..ath with a pillow to conceal the heinous crime. It is the State’s case that the crime was committed on March 3. The state alleges the man fled the scene, leaving his biological daughter’s lifeless body on the floor.
