THE Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation has unveiled licensing enforcement vans which are expected to improve licensing compliance and enhance collaboration with the Zimbabwe National Road Administration (ZINARA) and Vehicle Inspection Department on issues of Vehicle licensing and road worthiness assessment.         It will improve ease of doing business for the motoring public as the van is able to detect unlicensed vehicles, allowing the pay on the spot and also provide radio license exemption certificates for cars without radios without physically visiting the ZBC among other benefits.         The ZBC licensing compliance vans are a result of the collaboration between ZBC and 1010 technologies

Sad confirming 37 fatalities Midlands Provincial Police Officer, Commissioner Partson Nyabadza said

37 lives lost to drownings in Midlands province amid heavy rainsMORE than 30 people have drowned in Midlands Province since the onset of the current rainy season, with authorities confirming 37 fatalities, more than double the figure recorded during the previous rainy period.           Police say the increase in drowning incidents has become a major concern, particularly as most rivers and dams are now filled to capacity following consistent rainfall across the province. The mining community of Kwekwe has been the hardest hit, accounting for more than 18 of the recorded deaths. Midlands Provincial Police Officer, Commissioner Partson Nyabadza said several tragic incidents have contributed to the rising toll.
