According to reports circulating in diaspora communities, the individuals were taken into custody during routine checks carried out by immigration officials.

The group — whose names were listed by community sources as Simbarashe Ncube, Tawanda Sibanda, Blessing Nyoni, Tapiwa Mhlanga, Tatenda Chari, Kelvin Moyo, Brian Chikomba, Farai Dube, Tinashe Chikore, Knowledge Bhebhe, Prosper Banda and Lionel Zinyemba — were reportedly being processed for deportation proceedings.

Immigration enforcement in the United States has increased in recent years, with authorities maintaining lists of foreign nationals facing removal orders.

Officials say deportations typically occur when individuals are found to have violated immigration rules or overstayed visas.

Community groups often advise immigrants to maintain valid documentation and follow legal procedures when living abroad.

At the time of publication, the individuals had not publicly commented on the reports.
