Emergency services were dispatched to the scene following the accident, which occurred at approximately 8:15 p.m. Preliminary reports from the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) indicate that a Toyota Dyna truck, transporting seven individuals, collided with a Mazda Demio vehicle carrying six passengers. The impact of the crash was described as severe.

Three Dead, Six Injured After Head-On Collision On Mvurwi Road

The force of the collision proved instantly fatal for three of the victims, who were pronounced dead at the scene. The three dead victims were confirmed to be members of the Roman Catholic church going for a choir competition. The six survivors, all suffering from various injuries, required urgent medical attention and were subsequently transported to the nearest medical facility for treatment. The police confirmed the grim logistics that followed the tragedy.The bodies of the victims were taken to Mvurwi Hospital mortuary for postmortem, while the injured were admitted at Concession Hospital.”

The identities of the deceased are being withheld pending the completion of formal next-of-kin notifications, a process being handled with utmost sensitivity by the authorities.
