Vice President Gen. (Retd) Dr. C.G.D.N Chiwenga this afternoon delivered a speech on behalf of H.E President E.D Mnangagwa on the occassion of the Extraordinary High Level Virtual Meeting of African Heads of State and Government on the cholera situation in Africa.
The President encouraged the continent to move beyond reactive responses to cholera outbreaks, instead focusing on acting decisively to eliminate the disease from communitues once and for all.
Amongst the measures recommended are;
•massive investment in water and sanitation infrastructure,
•strengthening health systems and
•expanding vaccine access and social equity
