English Premier League giants, Liverpool forward Diogo Jota has been killed in a car crash, according to a report in Spanish newspaper Marca.
The publication claims the Portugal international was in an accident in the Zamora province. He was 28.According to Marca, Diogo Jota, a 28-year-old Portuguese Liverpool footballer, died early this morning in a traffic accident in the province of Zamora.
The accident occurred at kilometer 65 of the A-52, near the municipality of Palacios de Sanabria.
The Liverpool player died when the vehicle he was traveling in with his brother André, a 26-year-old professional footballer, went off the road, causing a fire.
According to witnesses who called 112, the car was engulfed in flames, which also spread to nearby vegetation.He was reportedly travelling with his brother Andre, who was also killed, when the car came off the road and was engulfed in flames.
