Ward 6 Veteran Councillor Manyika Gombera Passes On

Marondera Rural District Council Councillor for Ward 6, Manyika Gombera, died yesterday after a short illness at the age of 63.
Born on December 8, 1960, in Goromonzi District, Councillor Gombera had a long and distinguished career in public service and community leadership. Councillor Gombera held various leadership positions, including Chairman of Shandisai Pfungwa Co-operative and National Treasurer for the Collective Co-operatives in Zimbabwe. He also served as Village Head in Shandisai Pfungwa Village under Chief Svosve from 2004 onwards.
As Councillor for Ward 6, Councillor Gombera represented the interests of his constituents from 2013 until his passing. He was also the Chairperson of the Roads and Works Committee in Marondera RDC, playing a crucial role in shaping the council's infrastructure development initiatives.
His dedication to public service and community development earned him respect and admiration from his peers and the community. Councillor Gombera's passing has left a void in the community, and his legacy will be remembered for years to come.
