The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has confirmed the arrest of Mehluli Ncube, 45, in connection with a brutal assault captured in a video that went viral on social media.
In the video, a man is clearly seen assaulting a woman with a sjambok.
Ncube was arrested on November 5, 2025, following the incident at Village 2C, Insuza.
According to a ZRP statement, investigations established that the suspect allegedly attacked the victim along with her husband after accusing them of theft. Police stated that the suspect allegedly tied the husband’s hands with tyre cables and covered his head with plastic papers before proceeding to assault the couple. - Zimbo LIVE BulawayoWell done Z.R.P .
