South African Police (SAP) have arrested Zimbabwean self-proclaimed entrepreneur VK Lionheart following a string of investor complaints linked to an alleged forex-trading scheme. According to police reports, more than R870,000 was lost by investors who joined the program after it gained credibility through the involvement of South African influencer Chantel Snyman, better known online as TradeWithChantel.
Her strong reputation in forex education reportedly encouraged many followers to sign up, believing the opportunity to be legitimate and professionally managed. When investors later claimed they could not withdraw their funds and were unable to reach Lionheart, Chantel Snyman is said to have approached authorities to report the matter.
SAP confirms that her complaint and supporting evidence triggered a deeper investigation, eventually leading to Lionheart’s arrest. Police are urging any additional victims to come forward as the case continues to develop, with intense public attention now focused on what could become one of the region’s most talked-about forex fraud investigations.
