Midlands State University Radio Station

I’d like to share this anonymously as a concerned observer. I recently came across something quite worrying involving Midlands State University’s radio station based in Zvishavane.

For about three years now, the MSU Radio team has reportedly been operating without a proper vehicle. They’re still using an old Toyota single-cab pickup with a worn-out canopy that has no windows. On one recent trip to Gweru, they were seen packed in the back together with equipment and mattresses , soaked in rain and exposed to cold weather. It looked extremely unsafe and uncomfortable.

What’s surprising is that other departments at the university seem to have newer vehicles, yet the radio team is still stuck with this dilapidated one. From what I gathered, they don’t even brand the pickup with the university logo anymore because of its poor condition.

This situation isn’t just embarrassing , it’s a serious safety and welfare issue that risks both lives and property. I believe it deserves urgent investigation and pressure on the university to provide proper transport for the radio team.

I can share photos privately to support this tip if needed.
