The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) has placed reporter Natasha Phiri on precautionary suspension.
This comes after revelations at the Madlanga Commission that she allegedly received R500 from Sergeant Fannie Nkosi.
The payment is believed to have been given after she shared Musa Khawula’s phone number with him.

At the Madlanga Commission, Matjeng, who heads SAPS Quality Management, spoke about her relationship with Matlala going back to 2017. She said he often gave her gifts and money.
When asked, she denied helping him win the controversial R360-million SAPS tender.
