only to vanish once payments are made. According to several victims, Mushai asks for a CV and an upfront “processing fee”, assuring applicants that he has guaranteed jobs waiting for them across the border. But the moment the money is sent, he blocks all communication, switches numbers, and completely disappears.
Frustrated victims say they trusted him because he presents himself as someone well-connected, even claiming he has links with companies in South Africa that urgently need workers. However, none of the people who paid him have received any job offer, travel assistance, or feedback. Instead, they have been left counting losses and warning others not to fall into the same trap. As the festive season approaches and many people look for opportunities outside Zimbabwe, community members are urging everyone to stay alert, verify any job recruiter, and report suspicious activity before more people lose their hard-earned money.
