Four-month-old baby kidnapped in Bulawayo
Police are probing the kidnapping of a four-month-old baby in New Parklands, Bulawayo, after the child’s mother was allegedly lured by a stranger she met through a WhatsApp group offering free children’s clothing.
Bulawayo police spokesperson Nomalanga Msebele said the 26-year-old mother responded to a post on the Idale Labomama WhatsApp group and began communicating with an unknown person who offered to deliver the clothes.
“The suspect introduced herself as MaNdlovu of Cowdray Park,” Msebele said, adding that the incident occurred on December 29.
Police have launched investigations and warned the public to be cautious when dealing with unknown contacts online.
