High Court Finds Bridget Makaza Guilty of Husband’s Murder After 2018 Incident

The High Court has found Bridget Makaza guilty of the murder of her husband in a case that dates back to 2018. According to court proceedings, the tragic events began after a domestic dispute between the couple. Following the altercation, Bridget travelled to South Africa where she allegedly purchased a firearm. Upon her return to Zimbabwe, she shot her husband three times, resulting in his death.

In an attempt to mislead authorities, Bridget reported to the police that armed robbers had invaded their home, stolen US $12 000, and killed her husband. However, a detailed police investigation uncovered evidence that proved her story was false. Based on the findings, the High Court convicted her of murder. Bridget is expected to receive her sentence tomorrow.
