SAD💔 | A truck driver has tragically died after suffering severe injuries in a violent robbery along the notorious Masvingo–Chibi turnoff detour. The attack, which occurred last week, left him in critical condition. Although he was rushed to hospital, he sadly succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday night.
His death adds to the growing number of attacks on truck drivers using detours along the Beitbridge–Masvingo–Harare corridor, where ongoing roadworks and poor lighting have turned some sections into hotspots for violent robberie. s.
