She rose to prominence in South Africa as a lead news anchor at eNCA, earning recognition for her professionalism, eloquence and commanding on-screen presence. Beyond broadcasting, she was also an accomplished actress and playwright, contributing meaningfully to the creative arts.
Upon returning to Zimbabwe, Masalethulini joined ZBC News, where she became a familiar face on both the Main News bulletin and Good Morning Zimbabwe, further cementing her status as one of the country’s most trusted broadcasters.
She later joined digital media platform Eleven Dogs, where she anchored State of the Nation, taking over the role following the death of journalist Zororo Makamba. Her work there was widely praised for its depth, balance and fearless engagement with national issues.
