Let the games begin.#OPINION: TUNGWARARA OWES ME MONEY - MLISWA
BY TEMBA MLISWA
@chrissy10charu I don't hear my name in that video and out of the nearly 20 million Zimbabweans for you to zero in on me means he has told you that or you have alternative evidence that he is referring to me. In the case that you are posturing for your next meal, as someone on his payroll, I would warn you to immediately desist from this reckless action and withdraw that dafamatory accusation otherwise I will pursue you through litigation.
I'm a clean straightforward person and despite all these constant accusations of extortion no one has ever come forward as a victim because there are none! I made my money through tobacco long before many realised how lucrative it is and have been involved in myriad consultancy projects. I have several investments and on top of that I'm a farmer empowered through the Land Reform Program.
I have no need to extort anyone or pander to the whims of any individual. I'm away on holiday, as he well knows, but I'm coming back topedzerana. Tungwarara actually owes me money, if you ask him. I also have the agreements.
Therefore, whatever association or alliance I maintain isn't premised primarily on money. Kuda Tagwirei is my personal opinion and option for succession as he has the necessary track record in the party. I have even stated the specific reasons. He is an experienced business person and I feel the country is at a juncture that requires that type to lead it instead of liberation veterans.
He was there long before many of you political delinquents; toiling silently behind the scenes, funding Operation Restore Legacy, supporting the party and even getting sanctioned by the West because of his support. Like some of us, he supported the President and the party when it wasn't fashionable unlike the whole lot of you preening about in cosmetic patriotism that is fuelled by selfish endeavours.
I'm not in Zanu PF and airing my views shouldn't be an issue with anyone there. No one can crucify me for having a political opinion. Don't contrive false stories of extortion as if I stole money from you.
Without stating my name in that video I could give him the benefit of doubt but if it is that he has outgrown his true status and thinks that he can use people like you and Tsenengamu to come after me then I can tell you are all small boys in these issues. Makauya nezuro mukadya cream of which yakukuzvimbirai manje. Makunanzva nepoto!
Some of us have been in these trenches defending and advancing the cause of ED long before you knew the alphabet of politics. Tabva kure nechinhu ichi and can't be startled by a political novice whose criminal record is only in hibernation due to congruent positive elements but is otherwise a tilt away from imploding. I could list a litany of cases and criminal allegations for which he has to answer but that's all in good time!
We have been with the President for long but have never abused that proximity because we respect his decisions even in appointments. That has meant the entrance of individuals like Tungwarara, political upstarts who have simply oiled their passage up the ladder using money. Otherwise in terms of real political capital these are juveniles.
You can't be empowered only to fight people whom you found holding the fort. What kind of empowerment is that, which unsettles you to attack even those who paved the ground for you?
I have warned Paul before that ZANU PF isn't a pet project like Tap and Go, which he can flaunt and frolick with massaging his personal moods. These people will eat your money and yet when the time of reckoning comes, unomira wega. There is no need to act like a virgin, excitable and giddy with unsapped energy. Dzikama.
Asi ndirikudzoka hangu!
