SCAM ALERT: DID YOU ALSO LOSE MONEY TO TERRIE GUNZ MAHATI? | This is the Luton based Terrie Gunz Mahati who allegedly scammed a local church £1,000 in a t-shirt printing swindle …
“This is what he does, he promises to deliver and walks off with the money,” said one senior citizen
financial scandal has rocked the UK community after a t shirt supplier popularly known as Terrie Mahati — who is also known as Avalon Mahati, and in some circles “Terrie Gunz,” hit a church congregation.
Mahati allegedly failed to deliver a substantial order of prepaid branded T-shirts intended for a church function.According to documented records, Mahati contracted with church members in March 2025 to supply merchandise at £8 per T-shirt, with an additional £17 separately paid for design/logo services.
The initial order consisted of 111 shirts, followed by an additional 20 shirts, bringing the total to 131.
Despite receiving full payment, Mahati delivered only 15 shirts, leaving 116 shirts undelivered, equivalent to £928 — a direct financial loss for the church and a significant breach of trust.
Members of the congregation report that they made repeated attempts over several months to secure either fulfilment or refund, but Avalon (Terrie) Mahati stopped responding, ignored follow-ups, and failed to provide any explanation or alternative.Sources close to the church say legal escalation is now being strongly considered if restitution or delivery is not made promptly.
