On Tuesday, police in Chipinge arrested three people after getting a tip-off. The suspects are bus driver Juda Gondo (27), conductor Abraham Marakia (62), and passenger Nyasha Jojo (30). They
were stopped at the 256km peg along the Ngundu–Tanganda Road. Police searched the bus and found 66.5kg of compressed dagga, packed in 23 plastic bags.
In another case, on 3 September 2025, police in Beitbridge arrested Stabile Dambudzo Magaya (34) for unlawful possession of dagga. The suspect, who was travelling as a passenger in a bus, was caught at the 8km peg along the Beitbridge–Masvingo Road. Police discovered 7.4kg of dagga hidden inside the suspect’s suitcase.
