DUBLIN, IRELAND – Residents of a quiet Irish neighbourhood are in shock after 38-year-old System Choruma, a Zimbabwean man living in Ireland, was arrested for burglary under unusual circumstances.
Police allege that Choruma broke into multiple homes over the past two months — but instead of stealing electronics, jewellery, or cash, his target was women’s underwear. Officers say they recovered over 60 pieces of lingerie hidden in bags during a search of his apartment.
Neighbours described the suspect as “polite but mysterious,” with one local saying they never expected anything like this. Investigators believe he gained entry into homes during the daytime while residents were away at work.
Choruma is now in custody and facing multiple charges, including burglary and possession of stolen property. Authorities say the case has raised serious concerns about safety in the area and have urged residents to remain vigilant.
