UK Deporting Zimbabwean Ex-Convicts

THE British government is deporting around 50 Zimbabweans who have been released from detention after serving jail terms for various offences. This comes as the Second Republic agreed with the United Kingdom in June that Zimbabweans, some of whom have been in the European country on false pretences, can safely return home. Those affected are involuntary returnees who have exhausted the administrative and legal procedures and have lost the legal right to remain in that country. Two Men Agree To Exchange Wives And Kids As Settlement For Their Differences

In a surprising turn of events, two middle-aged men are alleged to have mutually agreed to exchange their wives as a way of settling their differences. Josh Odour and Sakis from Busia County in western Kenya traded wives and their kids after Sakis and Odour’s wife decided to make their secret affair public. Bedridden Marry Chiwenga Too Sick Case Moved To September

Vice President Constantino Chiwenga’s estranged and ailing wife, Marry Mubaiwa’s trial on attempted murder and money-laundering charges has been postponed to September 7 after her lawyer Beatrice Mtetwa indicated her client is not yet fit. Mubaiwa is currently out of bail facing charges including attempted murder of the VP, money laundering, fraud and assault. Her passport is with the clerk of court as part of her bail conditions. She tried several times to get her passport to travel to South Africa and get treatment but failed because the court considered her a flight risk. Zimbabwean Woman Arrested In India With 3kg Of Mutoriro

A 30-year-old Zimbabwean woman has been arrested for allegedly smuggling nearly 3kg heroin through Cochin International Airport here, the Narcotics Control Bureau said here on Monday. Acting on a specific intelligence input, officers of NCB Cochin Sub Zonal Unit, seized 2.91 kg Heroin from the baggage of the Zimbabwean woman who arrived at the Airport from Johannesburg on June 19. Hutsinye Harare Council Continues Demolition Of Structures In Mbare

Harare City Council yesterday continued demolishing illegal structures around Mbare, targeting the Matapi flats section, as it seeks to restore sanity in the capital. Some of the destroyed shacks had become havens for illicit drugs. A council bulldozer could be seen razing down illegal facilities such as tyre mending shops and backyard food outlets that were in-between Matapi flats and surrounding areas.
