The long-running legal dispute over the estate of the late former President Robert Gabriel Mugabe has taken another dramatic turn, with the High Court throwing out an application by a man claiming to be Mugabe’s son. Tonderayi Gabriel Mugabe approached the court seeking to reopen the estate (Estate DR 2703/19), arguing that he had been unjustly excluded from the distribution of Mugabe’s assets. Represented by lawyer Muchivete Hungwe, Tonderayi requested permission to challenge the Master of the High Court’s decision to finalise and close the estate in December 2020. However, High Court judge Justice Fatima Maxwell dismissed the application, citing an “inordinate delay” and lack of credible evidence.
Wicknell Choruma (46) and Moses Tagwirei (48) caught stealing meat and alcohol in broad daylight LONDON – In a bizarre turn of events at this year’s Zimfest celebration in the UK, two Zimbabwean nationals, Wicknell Choruma (46) and Moses Tagwirei (48), were arrested for allegedly stealing alcohol and meat from a braai stand during the vibrant cultural event. The incident occurred in the afternoon as festivalgoers enjoyed live music and traditional cuisine. Witnesses say the two men were seen acting suspiciously near a busy braai stall, slipping bottles of expensive whiskey and trays of marinated meat into large shopping bags. A staff member working behind the grill noticed their unusual behavior and alerted security, who promptly contacted local police.
💔 Two children, Joshlyn Johnson, 7, and her 5-year-old brother Larry O’Neil III, were kept in a suitcase and a plastic tote for nearly a year by their own aunt, Nicole Johnson. During a routine traffic stop in Maryland, police made a heartbreaking discovery. In the trunk of a car were the remains of the two siblings. One of them weighed only 18 pounds. The bag was crawling with maggots, and inside was a suitcase containing one of the children. Their mother had trusted her sister to care for them while she worked to rebuild her life. She believed they were safe. Instead, they were hidden, neglected, and left to d*e in silence. 🕊️😢cc
